ONE DAY WORKSHOP PROGRAMME. Make a medieval eating knife or small seax using a charcoal forge.Take home finished knife and shaped leather for you to sew scabbard.

Starting with a short demonstration and a talk on correct use of hammer & anvil & safety. Followed by blade forging. Lunch whilst blade is annealing. After lunch break, finishing of blade and handle fitting.

£100 per day. (£50 deposit on confirmation, balance on arrival.)

TWO DAY WORKSHOP PROGRAMME.Make a bespoke Bushcraft style knife and sheath.

Starting with demonstration and talks as for one day programme. Over the 2 days you will be forging, profiling, tempering and polishing blade, fitting and shaping handle (various woods or antler available.) wet forming & stitching veg tan leather sheath.

DAMASCUS KNIFE MAKING COURSE.
One or Two day courses, strictly one person only as constant supervision is required at all times.
All forging is carried out on a traditional Charcoal fired forge using hand held hammers and tongs. There are no power hammers , hydraulic presses or fly presses to cut corners with,
" When I say hand forged I mean it".

Course covers tempering, polishing and acid etching the blade and fitting handle (selection of materials available).

The one day course is pretty intensive, It's possible to complete a simple Chefs knife(can also be used by clever chefs) Viking Seax or a Medieval eating /feasting knife.

If you want to make something a bit more involved such as a Bushcraft knife and Sheath then you will need the two day course for finishing off the detailed work.

One day course. £160-00.
Two day course. £300-00.
